Superbowl Project Part II

My husband is always motivated by a deadline. The Superbowl usually serves once a year as a good time to get things done. This year, Steve's project also involved a new flat screen TV. You can imagine the buzz around our house. 3 trips to Home Depot, 15 curse words, 5 bandaids(don't turn the saw on while the blade is in your hand) and 1 very expensive trip to Best Buy later it was all done. Heaven forbid we have to watch football on a small TV.

Bathroom

The downstairs renovation has been a year in the making. Damaged walls were revealed, after the wall paper was removed. Mark, our plaster guy, was nice enough to rectify that situation. Picking a paint color proved to be a nightmare as well. Luckily we planned a party. A deadline seems to always kick us in gear to get things done.

Now that summer is here, I'm really focusing on the backyard. I've managed to finally decide on some patio furniture after looking at 5,267 sets. We've really enjoyed it so far with the exception of Tyler. He's not allowed on it. Usually he's too busy falling in the pool.

Sleepover

The great thing about Lydia having a big room, is having big sleepovers. The other great thing is that Lydia's room is far enough away from mine that I hopefully won't hear them. Enjoy the pictures.

Pool

Here's some pictures of the latest money pit. The pool had been covered, drained and left for dead for many years. We recently replaced the liner and filled the pool. We keep having to pump off water because of all of this rain. Lydia is licking her chops every day. She wants to get in really badly. Can you say "Polar Plunge"?

My baby is 12!!

I hope you enjoy the latest "before and after" photos. It's hard to believe that Seth turned 12 yesterday. Is it possible that I will have a teenager next year? Well, since I had him when I was 17, I guess it is possible. :) We are very proud of Seth and all he has accomplished in his 12 years. We couldn't ask for a nicer son.

Guard Dog

Every house needs a guard dog. Ours comes in the form of a 24 lb. grey ball of fur. Tyler takes his job very seriously. If you've ever walked through the front door, you may have witnessed this first hand . He has taken up his watch duties in the guest bedroom where he has a great vantage of his domain.
